Clyde’s presence online reminds me of stories I’d hear in the 80’s about journalists that became famous. They’d talk about how it was back in they day when they were in the news room. It was made up of university drop-outs, rebels, people with mouths and passion that had no place in ‘polite society’. There was no profession of ‘journalism’ back then (Just as there was no profession of ‘programmers’). They locked on to a subject or got a scoop and reported on what was of interest to the population. The primary media was your local news paper. I’m sure CBC was created to counter and centralize information to counter these rouges back in the day.

Clyde is no drop-out however. If you watch him regularly, it will slowly be revealed that this guy is well read and values freedom of choice and thought by the way that he lives. He has chosen, I think wisely, to stay out of international subjects of late, but for Canada and quality of living here, I always check what Clyde is talking about and who his guests are.
