When Xenoblade Chronicles 3 came out, it was picked up for the kids. The content of this game is much bigger than you can imagine if you are of the unknowing. As we see our trusted institutions of news, comedy, art, government, universities, and others fail around us; the content of this game becomes elevated and a more valued and important. [There are 8 hours of cut scenes in this game, I think it counts in the film category :) ]

If you were to say before 2022 … “It will be the truckers that save us..” you’d be considered mad. Unless you were one of the few that knew the story in this game, you may just have responded, “yes, of course they will be.”

You can find other videos of the entire cut scenes .. over 8 hours. It is basically 7 books in a game. If you can though, play it through, it will become a part of you. And I dare say, you’ll be more resilient for it. BTW: This game is definitely an odd ball in the Nintendo franchise.

To be blunt, the content managers of our world have discredited the constructive significance and impact of video games (the negative impact has be discussed lots and exploited too). If this game were a novel, it would be banned today but as a game, it missed the eyes of Zoron. It has had the same level of impact on me as Lio Tolstoy’s ‘War and Peace’.

Some people see this game a anti-religion. I wouldn’t say that. Although, you could say it applies in some cases in the past. I’d suggest it is more about the motivation of social institutions to self preservation.
